Last Saturday I road nearly 3 hours (88.7k (55 mi) @ 31kph pace (19.25mph)) in the rain. Again. Really sick of rainy rides lately. I’m sooo looking forward to the coming sunny days in the forecast.
Early in my ride, a truck pulled up beside me and honked the guy honked his horn a couple times. I looked over and he was giving me a big thumbs-up and a big, silly smile. Made my chuckle. I’m not sure if he was giving me an “attaboy” for training in the rain or just clowning me. I like to think it was the former.
This last week was a recovery week (easy 98 miles) as reward for a nice, hard week before that (175 miles). This week it’s time to get back at it.
